If you love a crisp, clean cup of coffee that highlights the unique flavor notes of your beans, the pour-over method is your holy grail. Unlike standard drip machines, pouring manually gives you complete control over water temperature and flow rate.

To start, wet your paper filter to remove any woody taste. Add your medium-coarse grounds and start with the “bloom”—pour just enough hot water ($93^\circ\text{C}$ to $96^\circ\text{C}$) to wet the grounds and let it sit for 30 seconds to release trapped gases. Slowly pour the remaining water in gentle, concentric circles. It takes a little patience, but the bright, sediment-free results are entirely worth it.
